Welcome

To the Website of the Greenock and District Model Railway Club. We meet in our clubrooms in Fort Matilda Station every Tuesday and Friday evening between 7:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Our Club was formed in the 1978 and initially met in rooms at Greenock Central Station until the demolition of the original station buildings forced us to move on. In the early 1990s we occupied premises in Chalmers Street, later moving to the former Scottish Water filter station at Weymouth Crescent. Although these premises were less than ideal we stayed for a few years before the oppotunity to "adopt " Fort Matilda Station presented itself. The "Fort" officially became our new home on September 30th, 2010 and has proved to be an excellent location for our Club activities. Membership has remained fairly steady over the years but, more recently we have enjoyed an increase in numbers to approximately 30, including some new junior members

We are active in the local club circuit, visiting and exhibiting layouts at other club shows and we hold our own annual show in October each year usually in Lyle Kirk Greenock.

If you think our Club would be of interest to you, or you would like a visit, then please contact us.

For a membership application form, see the Member's Page.
